A New Year, and new plush for my collection

Happy 2013 everyone!
I am busy getting my studio re-organized and tidied up, so I don't have any new plush created to show you yet, but here are a few of the newer pieces that I've added to my collection just before the holidays. You might say these were gifts to myself. ;D

This is "Fuming Flames" by the awesome Lana Crooks. He doesn't look too happy to be in my collection, but he'll get over it, eventually.

Here is the "Masked Monster Bandit" by the talented and eco-friendly Sweet Poppy Cat.  He is so cuddly and I love the way that she makes the legs. He's made from upcycled cashmere and wool sweaters.

This cool creature is a "Woodland Friend" from the lovely Let's Be Friends. The fabric combination on this guy is awesome, and I love the feathers and his expression.

Of course, my family also surprised me with some amazing new plush for Christmas, and as soon as I get them photographed, I will share them with you all.
I hope to get back to the sewing machine in a few days time, so stay tuned for new Plush Goodness in the coming weeks!

Adding to my Plush Collection- Again!

The plush collecting continues with these new additions to my shelves. Woot! :D

First off, we have the super-awesome Captain Weirdbeard by BOOM!plush:

I got this crocheted Octopus- with mustache!- from Jen of FuzFrenzy in the Plush Team White Elephant Swap at the Retreat this year.

This adorable peach is from Nyssa of Lithe-Fider, also while I was at the Retreat. I couldn't resist!

The fabulous Diane of Cutesy but not Cutesy gave me these monster cupcakes- in two sizes, lucky me!

And last but not least is this totally cute (and so soft) knitted plush by blabla. Meet the Magician:

Okay- that's all. For now... ;D

Ahoy, Mateys!

More additions to my ever growing plush collection, hooray! Welcome Captain Jack Sparrowpants made by the talented Claire of absolutely small, and his first mate, Surly Starfish. Surly was made by the wonderful Lana "Plushinator" Crooks.

Jack and Surly seem to be land-locked for now, but I'm sure the devious Cap'n Jack has something up his sleeves to somehow get them on the ocean again...

I love Surly's head scarf and his expression is awesome. The details on Jack are fantastic, right down to the twisted wool for his dreads and messy hair. I'm really happy to have these great plush in my collection! If you want get more info on the latest from Absolutely Small, click here to find her blog. A new plush for my collection- woot!

Meet Aaron Luckybones, the newest member of my collection. Made by the super fantastic Ninon, I've been wanting one of her larger pieces for a long time. I found this one when I was lucky enough to have the chance to get to Schmancy Toys right before Christmas.

I love the pom poms on the sides of the head, and the little wee ones on his shoes- and that grin is awesome. His arms are jointed and posable which is terrific. The mixture of materials is really great! Ninon really puts some character into her plush creations, and the names she choses for them are utterly quirky and yet they fit like gloves.

You can see more of the cool world of Ninon if you head on over to her blog, where she writes about everything that is interesting her at the moment, as well as her newest plush creations.

Here are some photos of all the great plush and things I found at Schmancy- if you are in the Seattle area, you should definitely check it out.

I found more plush goodies and other things on my Christmas break, which I will be sharing over the next little while, so stay tuned! :)
